Abdul Hamid

Abdul Hamid Sheikh Mohamed joined Symphony House Berhad, as Executive Director on 3 December 2003.

  Immediately preceding his appointment at Symphony, he was the Chief Financial Officer of the Bursa Malaysia Berhad. He joined the Bursa Malaysia in 1998 as Senior Vice President in charge of Strategic Planning & International Affairs Division reporting directly to the Executive Chairman of Bursa Malaysia and was promoted to Deputy President (Strategy and Development) in 2002 and re-designated to Chief Financial Officer in 2003. In the over 5 years with Bursa Malaysia Group, Abdul Hamid had diverse roles and experience in strategy, corporate finance, business transformation, finance and administration, treasury, external affairs and public relations. He led the Bursa Malaysia's acquisitions of MESDAQ, and KLOFFE and COMMEX and its merger to form MDEX, and the Bursa Malaysia's demutualization exercise.

  He started his career in the accounting firm Messrs Lim Ali & Co/Messrs Arthur Young, before moving on to spend 5 years in merchant banking with Bumiputra Merchant Bankers Berhad from late 1989 to 1994. He later moved on to the Amanah Capital Malaysia Berhad Group, investment banking and finance group, where he oversaw the corporate planning and finance functions.

 

Tengku Norlidzah(TN)

Tengku Norlidzah Bt Tengku Zainal Abidin began her career in 1989 with MIDF Consultancy & Corporate Services, previously a provider of issuing house services.

She joined MIH in 1993 and provided secretarial and administrative support as well as assistance in client servicing and operational duties. She actively pursued marketing and client management activities and rose gradually to become Manager, Senior Manager, Director and presently Chief Executive of the Company.

During her long tenure, MIH completed the listing of more than 500 companies including Astro, AirAsia, AirAsia X, Bursa Malaysia, CIMB, Felda, Maxis, Westports and UMW O&G. She was instrumental in positioning the Company as the leading issuing house for 15 straight years commencing 1999. Her achievements included the introduction of the investor-friendly electronic share application service and its enhancement, the e-IPO service.

  Tengku Norlidzah Bt Tengku Zainal Abidin presently oversees and market the Company’s services and deals extensively with IPO clients, investment banks, the stock exchange, regulators and capital market intermediaries in furtherance of the business objectives.

Chew Kat Nyap

Chew Kat Nyap was formerly the Chief Executive of Malaysian Issuing House Sdn Bhd. 

He joined MIH in 1996 as General Manager. He has positioned MIH as the leading issuing house for the past 11 years and has serviced 450 IPOs, including major IPOs like Malaysia Airport Berhad, TimedotCom Berhad, Maxis, CIMB, Astro, AirAsia and Bursa Malaysia Berhad. Led the company in pioneering the use of electronic share application for IPOs and worked extensively with the Securities Commission and the present day Malaysian Investment Banking Association in achieving the T+13 shorter time-to-market framework for IPOs. Became a Dealer's Representative in 2003. 

  He started his career with the corporate secretarial division of the present day PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1972 before moving on to PFA Registration Sdn Bhd and SPK Khidmat Sdn Bhd. He later moved on to the present day AmInvestment Bank in 1986 to head a start-up unit offering in-house as well as external Share Registrar Services. He also headed an IPO retail share application and financing service and acted as Director in charge of the investment bank's nominee services. He was a Senior Manager at AmInvestment Bank until 1996 when he was transferred to MIH, then an associate company of AmInvestment Bank.
